Subsea Technology Engineer

Subsea Technology is a department with highly talented professionals. We deliver first classsubsea engineering services to our clients, with experienced team members securingtechnical aspects, quality, performance, and project execution. Our subseaengineering services include well control equipment expertise, well controlequipment re-certifications services, subsea operations planning and related equipmenttechnical client services. We combine practical experience with engineeringbackground and insight to support clients with excellence throughout wellcontrol equipment systems.
The SubseaTechnology group well control equipment experience span from BOP and BOPcontrol systems, HPHT WCE operations planning, XT production systems, subseatemplate technology, wellhead technology with tooling, to Wellhead Load ReliefSystems and ROV interfaces. Combined, this gives us a broad experience tosupport multiple challenges and assignments within the field of expertise.

Qualifications:
- Higher technical education (MSc, BSc or equivalent), within Subsea Technology or Mechanical engineering. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with mobile offshore units and/or systems. Other relevant work experience may compensate for lack of experience with offshore units.
- The position requires a high level of competence within project execution and technical understanding.
- Sufficient computer skills in relevant software
- Offshore training and health certificate experience
Job description / work tasks:
- Participate in projects or studies as subsea engineer or senior subsea engineer
- Participate in yard stay projects related to Special Periodic Survey’s for client’s assets
- Perform subsea technology related tasks and services to clients
- Participate in and provide clarifications towards QA activities
- Participate in design reviews where relevant including HAZOP’s, HAZIDs etc.
- Perform technical surveys, onshore and offshore
- Be responsible for equipment interface validations between assets and subsea equipment
- Communication with rig organization/client, operational personnel, and project managers
- Contribute in CTR-activities/bid, both installation and project related
- Contribute and support the completion of the project with regards to final documentation and close-out
- Contribute to further develop Odfjell Technology subsea discipline, work methods and services
Experience/ Knowledge:
- Experience from well control equipment systems related to offshore- and maritime industry for Drilling Facilities
- Experience from well control equipment re-certification processes
- Insight to class authority rules and regulations
- Experience and applicable knowledge of relevant industry standards
