Maintenance Engineer

Odfjell Technology is experiencing an increase in the order backlog in Norway and need to strengthen our onshore team in Bergen.
As Maintenance Engineer in Operations, the role is to support all platform operations in Norway as part of the technical services team. The role combines technical knowhow, system competence, planning knowledge and ability to see the big picture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and follow-up maintenance plans in cooperation with the platform teams
- Establish, plan and follow up work orders for own equipment in IFS
- Support offshore users in use of Client’s maintenance system and IFS
- Perform maintenance verifications according to verification plan
- Participate as technical resource for investigations
- Follow up Clients, subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure follow-up of technical performance improvements and lessons learned
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
- Higher technical education (MSc, BSc or equivalent). Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
- 5 years’ experience in a technical supervisory role within drilling industry
- The position requires a high level of competence within technical operation, project execution, computer-based maintenance systems and experience from overhaul projects
- Good conceptual understanding of technical design and up to date knowledge of applicable rules and regulations
- Goodoral and written English and Norwegian skills are required
