HR Advisor, Compensation & Benefits

We are looking for a new colleague with a mindset for improvement and development of the area of compensation and benefits. You are not afraid to challenge established routines and to suggest changes. You are concerned with details, but not least you are able to see connections and consequences. The work tasks can be small or large, structured or sporadic, so being flexible we see as a big plus. The position has great development opportunities for the right person.

HR Compensation & Benefits is a department in the company’s global HR competence team organized under the HR Center of Expertise (CoE) in Bergen. The department has high expertise in relevant regulations, tariff agreements, payroll, wages, and taxes domestic/abroad, secondments, pensions, insurance, welfare schemes, and travel management. The department is also responsible for analyses and reporting within the department’s areas of expertise. HR is part of Odfjell Technology Global Business Services, providing shared services to Odfjell Technology (OTL), Odfjell Drilling (ODL), and Odfjell Oceanwind.

The Odfjell companies are growing in numbers and complexity in Norway and internationally. We are adding strength to the HR department to meet increased activity, efficiency demands, and digitalisation projects.

Key responsibilities and areas of work:

  • Be part of the team working on a variety of activities such as planning, calculations, documentation and reporting
  • Identify and resolve reporting, process, and system issues
  • Support international assignments and taxation activities
  • Participate in the development of digitisation of the department’s processes and relevant reports
  • Produce internal and external HR reports
  • Processes around welfare schemes
  • Contribute with maintenance of handbooks, manuals and internal information channels for the department
  • Communicate with stakeholders about changes and requirements

Qualifications

  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (economics, IT, HR or equivalent). Relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education
  • You have minimum 5 years relevant working experience
  • You have knowledge, interest and experience from analysis and reporting work, preferably within HR related processes
  • It is an advantage if you also have experience with international taxation for work assignments, but not required
  • You have excellent end-user knowledge of digital tools, and technical solutions such as HR master data systems, Microsoft (SharePoint, Excel in particular) and for example Power BI and Questback
  • Must be fluent in Norwegian and English language, written and spoken
